[edit]@Glendoremus I saw your edit and need to tell you that per WP:WNTRMT: You should not remove maintenance templates if any of the following apply: You do not understand the issues raised by the template. So I'm going to restore the tag after this edit.
Here's what I find needs to be changed (emphasis on the problematic words):
1. Saunders' most important contributions dealt with the propagation of fruit trees and grape vines.
2. authored hundreds of articles on horticulture and introduced numerous plant species into the United States
On a different note: The William_Saunders_(botanist)#Grange section is still unsourced please add a source or remove the section.
Again, please read WP:WTRMT to see when to remove the template and when not. Nobody (talk) 05:41, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for sharing your concerns. I changed the phrase "most important contributions" but felt like "numerous" was a perfectly reasonable way to characterize the large number of plant species he introduced. This characterization is supported in the text with details and appropriate citations. I'll leave it to another editor to review and decide when to remove the template.
