A330
[edit]The airline only has one A330 registered TF-GAY, others may be wet-leased but are not operated by WOW so we don't normally include wet-leased aircraft, thanks. MilborneOne (talk) 10:45, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Name
[edit]What does WOW mean? 2600:1008:B10B:28F4:3014:984E:3207:CFB5 (talk) 06:41, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure as I can't find any information on the internet, but I'm pretty sure it just means the term "wow" which means astonishment. --𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔𝕕𝕣𝕒𝕘𝕠𝕟𝟙𝟛𝟞 🗨️ 🖊️ 04:16, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
New ownership, new article name?
[edit]If WOW air actually manages to get off the ground (pun intended) under USAerospace Associates ownership, I think that the content about the former airline should be moved to its own article, as with past airlines that recycled a defunct airline's branding but didn't actually inherit its corporate structure (e.g. Braniff International Airways and Braniff II). I propose that the new article be called "WOW air (2012)". Comments? Carguychris (talk) 17:44, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- I think you are a bit early, wait for the new airline to actually start and if it is using the same name we can worry about that then. If they end up with the same name the WOW air (Iceland) and WOW air (United States) may be better. MilborneOne (talk) 18:05, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- I realize I'm a bit early, and yes, this is absolutely contingent on the airline actually starting flights. I just wanted to get the conversation started. Carguychris (talk) 18:24, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- OK no porblem, I have reverted some changes trying to change info into the American airline, this is clearly about the Icelandic airline. MilborneOne (talk) 06:28, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
USAerospace Associates
[edit]Without delving too far into WP:NOTFORUM, I've concluded that USAerospace Associates has little or no credibility, and I propose to trim the section to one paragraph. Thoughts? Carguychris (talk) 23:04, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- To give them the benefit of the doubt, a pandemic was not exactly the best time to be launching an airline. That said, I don't see any harm in trimming out some of the gorier details. Rosbif73 (talk) 14:05, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
