Proposal for Separate Character Articles

[edit]

I just signed up, so this is my first time making a proposal. That aside, I'll get straight to the point. If you want to considerably shorten this list, I suggest that the right people start working on separate articles for all of the major characters. Once they've been created, if they're up to Wikipedia's standards, I then propose moving all their information into those articles and have links created to them, like Chase Young. Also for the characters that already have articles, such as Jack and Hannibal Roy Bean, I recommend the same thing. I hope this helps.

Proposal for Cleaning Up Topic

[edit]

It would seem that somebody has separated the XS Character List without first consulting it with other people and without acknowledging my proposals. Once again, I propose that every entry for every character be split into Character History and Personality.

Seeing as there is so much Character History, I propose that Personality be left on the main page, whilst a separate article is created for Character History (e.g. Chase Young's entry).

This shrinks the list down and allows for the minor characters to be added to this list too. I also propose that links be added to the end of this article linking to other Xiaolin Showdown articles.

Not having much info on the XS Show itself (Americans are way ahead of us Brits in terms of episodes) I wouldn't be of much help, so I need someone to agree with this proposal and help me with it.

I have created a template to use with all Character Entries and have used it on Omi's character info as displayed below.

Omi - to avoid creating a sub-heading in this topic, Omi's name has been put into bold tags. However, in the actual article, his name should be put in between level three or level four headline tags.

Character Synopsis - An orphan trained as a monk since birth, Omi is the Xiaolin Dragon of Water. His signature Shen Gong Wu is the Orb of Tornami, which he almost always has with him. With it, he can either use a water attack, an ice attack, or most recently, a steam attack. His most powerful elemental attacks/strikes are Tsunami, and Tornado Strike. He can turn his water attack into an ice attack using Tornado Strike.

Character History - Through a fabricated prophecy, Chase Young convinces Omi into joining up with him as a member of his special forces, an army of various kinds of cats, in the form of a yellow kitten(more like mountain lion), (due to mass and size). Even though the future looks grim for him, it appears that he eventually gains his freedom and corrects the world.

When he is later promoted to a Wudai Warrior along with the other Xiaolin Warriors, his signature attack is replaced by Wudai Neptune—Water, and begins to use the Shimo Staff (a Wudai Weapon) more often than his Orb of Tornami.

Character Personality - His element represents how he can be like a calm pond or a raging tsunami. He takes his work very seriously and is the only one that wears his Xiaolin robe at all times. He does not see the world as black and white which helps him, but also sometimes hinders him. He often mixes up common idioms for light humor; for example, he says "talk to the fingers" instead of "talk to the hand." He is definitely the leader of the four Dragons, usually taking it hard on himself when he causes the team to lose a Shen Gong Wu or a seemingly easy battle. Omi is also extremely egotistical, believing himself to be superior to the others in every possible way. He is kind and short but he has proven multiple times that strength is not measured by one's size. He is also a vegetarian and deathly afraid of squirrels.

I await approval for this new template proposal. Wolf ODonnell 13:28, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal for Merging Topic with Minor Characters

[edit]

It would unwise to merge the topic together as it would make the article too long and it would have to be trimmed down - Anon.

Exactly. The information for each character is enough to be put into a separate article altogether. Wolf ODonnell 13:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
