Activism
[edit]This page does not include any information about the art activism that YBCA works on, as well as the community development aspects of the organization. There is no mention of the YBCA Fellows program and the annual YBCA 100 list. This viewpoint seems to be underrepresented. Also, the citations are not recent and do not talk about current events related to YBCA. Ikandula (talk) 21:10, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
Exhibitions
[edit]This page needs some examples of noteworthy exhibitions that illustrate how the organization carries out its mission.Warrenking (talk) 14:49, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Map Link
[edit]Could we get an external link on the page to its location. And probably mention the iPad was introduced here, on this day, a short time ago! Mathiastck (talk) 20:55, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
History and Controversy
[edit]Issues:
- Section is not written like an encyclopedia entry, and includes evident author POV.
- Section seems to focus on the history of the Yerba Buena Gardens development, not the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex Bignell (talk • contribs) 23:12, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Peer Review of Draft and Edits
[edit]While I think that the article is well written and includes very strong writing skills that fit the mold of what Wikipedia encourages, I think there should definitely be more depth to the content. Considering the length and amount of the article of citations I think there should be a section on various works of art and artists that have been featured there as well as what it provides for the community. Photos could be added to a section on the artists and works being featured there, as well as to the controversial section that currently exists- considering there have been many controversial works there. Overall, very good work so far. --Fleming.sammy (talk) 23:25, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
More Examples
[edit]Great article on the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. I would go deeper into examples of exhibits. This Wikipedia article allows for a general understanding of the YBCA, however, through examples of exhibits and artists, it would be more understandable and give the reader a better idea of what YBCA does. Along with this, it would be interesting to add information about certain artists along with pictures with certain exhibits to gain a wider perspective of the center. Peer Review
[edit]- Lead: Good introduction, could use some more information on its importance as an exhibit
- Structure: It is structured well, but there should be additional sections on its influence on the city, its influence on social media, etc.
- Balance: well- balanced for the amount of information it has.
- Neutrality: Unbiased information, holds a neutral point of view
- Reliable sources: Most are reliable, including the YBCA website, but some are normal .com websites that may not be as reliable.
- Grammar/ Spelling: The grammar and spelling are good. The sentence structure could be better.

[edit]Nice job so far. I think your lead section is coming along well, but could use some more information on YBCA's mission and role in the San Francisco community (just don't get bogged down in the specifics). I think you could talk about the policy agenda of the YBCA, since they are open about their political agenda. Also, you do a great job of keeping your tone neutral, and I also think your sources are reliable, except for maybe artdaily.org (I’m not sure if this is considered reliable). I have no issues with grammar/spelling, or sentence structure, but overall, I think this a solid draft, and that you have the opportunity to really expand it by including YBCA’s political initiatives. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zrauf124 (talk • contribs) 04:17, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

When did it open?
[edit]There's a lot of preamble about the planning of the center, but unless I missed it, nowhere does it state when the center actually opened. I know that American Conservatory Theater rented the YBCA theater while the Geary was being renovated, so I assume the center's opening happened sometime in the late '80s/early '90s. Does anybody have a source handy? Thanks, GentlemanGhost (séance) 11:36, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
