This is a route-map template for a UK railway.

Note: Per consensus and convention, most route-map templates are used in a single article in order to separate their complex and fragile syntax from normal article wikitext. See these discussions [1],[2] for more information.

This map shows the proposed MetroWest network in Bristol, connecting with North East Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. It includes the following phases of the network:

Phase 1: Portishead, Severn Beach and Bath Spa to Bristol

Note: It is unclear whether the proposal is for through services from Severn Beach to Bath Spa, and whether Westbury is part of the proposal or merely mentioned as a connection available from Bath Spa. The lines are shown separately here, and Westbury is included in the network.

Phase 2: Henbury spur and Bristol to Yate and Gloucester

Mainline services to Weston-super-Mare and Pilning

Also shown are two main lines that enjoy regular services to Bristol and have been promoted as part of the MetroWest proposal, but are not specifically affected by it:

Usage

[edit]
  • {{Bristol railway map/MetroWest}} for the map to be included as shown.
  • {{Bristol railway map/MetroWest|collapse=yes}} for a collapsed map.
