Lew Bloom

[edit]

Lew Bloom

  • ... that Lew Bloom (pictured) claimed to be the first stage tramp in show business, and later hoaxed the family of Abraham Lincoln?

Created by Rob at Houghton (talk). Self nominated at 14:20, 10 June 2014 (UTC).

  • Article is new enough and long enough. The "Citizen Hobo" book here confirms the first part of the hook. The second part of the hook is confirmed by the NYT article here. The images has an appropriate public domain license from the Houghton Library (though cropping may make it "jump" more given the 100x. Article is neutrally written and uses inline citations. Spot-checking of sources does not raise concerns about unduly close paraphrasing, copyvio or plagiarism. No QPQ required as this appears to be Rob at Houghton's first DYK. Thanks for taking such a quick look. FYI: This is not my first DYK nomination. This is an alternate account for my main one, User:Midnightdreary. -Rob at Houghton (talk) 19:38, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
It appears that you are still under five DYKs total, thus exempting you from the quid pro quo requirement of reviewing another nomination. That said, reviewing help is always needed and welcome. Cbl62 (talk) 20:26, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
