Template:HESA year
2022/23
This is a group of templates that provide an easy method to link to student population statistics for UK universities and other UK higer education institutions. The templates should be updated annually as the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) releases new data, thus it should not be necessary to manually update the articles or their references. The next update is due in 2025 and is for the 2023/24 academic year. Universities are identified by an institution identifier as a parameter, which is published alongside each university by HESA. This institution identifier was called INSTID by HESA and is presently still called INSTID in the templates. HESA now uses the UKPRN instead, but the identifyer parameter is still called INSTID here.
The templates are:
- {{HESA student population}} – gives the total student population
- {{HESA undergraduate population}} – gives the total undergraduate student population
- {{HESA postgraduate population}} – gives the total postgraduate student population
- {{HESA student population rank}} – where the university lies in a list ordered by total student population (highest first)
- {{HESA total}} – gives the current total number of universities
- {{HESA citation}} – gives a citation for the source of data
- {{HESA year}} – gives the academic year to which the data applies (not the year it was generated)
