Apologies

[edit]

Apologies for my recent unhelpful edits to this template - someone had transcluded rather than substituted it onto my talk page, at first I couldn't work out what was happening when I tried to reply to them. I've figured it out, and let them know for next time. GirthSummit (blether) 12:28, 21 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong timestamp

[edit]

FYI, the template is giving the wrong timestamp when signing the second time, as demonstrated by this, which was done today, November 4. Pinging the template creator, Paine Ellsworth, for courtesy. --I dream of horses (Contribs) Please notify me after replying off my talk page. Thank you. 21:34, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I dream of horses, in your edit Special:Diff/981924360, you have added your own hardcoded signature. This signature indeed has the timestamp, which you describe, i.e. 05:47, 5 October 2020. This has been fixed. Please note, that the template already does automatic signing using following wikitext:
{{ {{{|safesubst}}}:5~}}
Hope this helps. —andrybak (talk) 23:22, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Andrybak: Not sure how I missed that today or why I did that in October. I suspect sleep deprivation. Thank you for fixing an obvious mistake. I dream of horses (Contribs) Please notify me after replying off my talk page. Thank you. 23:25, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
