North Carolina

[edit]

@MisterCake: I just tagged List of SIAA football champions generally re OR/RS and specifically re North Carolina content (per North Carolina Tar Heels football#Conference affiliations).

Can you specifically address UNC here? Otherwise I am inclined to remove them from both this navbox and the associated article. I think this situation is similar to Maryland, where the football team doesn't identify with the conference while other (dubious?) sources may state they were a member and possibly even champions in some seasons. On first sight I thought this would be about the SAIAA. Here is one source on the SIAA showing UNC as a member. This has motivated me to look further, though. Cake (talk) 02:21, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Going to have to dig for 1895, but we've cleaned up 1898. Cake (talk) 03:04, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a neat source. Don't forget the warehouse. Cake (talk) 03:34, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I believe UNC early years are now entirely cleaned up as being "Independent" per North Carolina Tar Heels football#Conference affiliations. UW Dawgs (talk) 05:07, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Check the Glomerata sources before removing Clemson, please. Cake (talk) 07:36, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
