I have incorporated this list into the template today. Ellin Beltz (talk) 19:22, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm reverting your edits. Any settlement (including Yreka and other cities) that is populated could be generally considered as a "populated place" -- which is unclear. A populated place or settlement in California can be considered a city, a CDP, or an unincorporated community (i.e. place, whether populated or not, that is inside unincorporated territory that is not classified as a CDP). In addition, the Geographic Names Information System also classifies Yreka and other cities as the general "populated places" classification as well.[1] So it is best no to use it here on this template, or on the relevant section of the Siskiyou County, California article. - Also this is a navigation box for navigation between existing pages, and should not really be a full list to include every single "red link" that is unlikely to be created within the next month. Zzyzx11 (talk) 22:05, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
