Stock car races in the now-NASCAR Xfinity Series were held at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina in 1991 and 1992. The race was sponsored by Texas Pete during its entire existence in the second-tier series calendar, and was thus named Texas Pete 300.[2][3]

It was race 23 of 31 races.[6] The total time of the race was 1:27:37, the average speed of winner was 77.040 MPH, the margin of victory was 1 lap + 8.32 seconds and there were 4 lead changes. There were also 5 cautions for 30 laps.[7]
