The Marlow Murder Club (TV series)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Marlow Murder Club is a British TV series based on Robert Thorogood's novel of the same name.[1][2] The show originally aired on U & Drama and can be streamed on the U Streaming Service.[3]

Plot

[edit]

Three older women (led by Judith Potts) investigate a series of killings in Marlow, Buckinghamshire (where Thorogood now lives with his family).

After two murders the trio are taken on as advisors to the police by DS Malik. They suspect a woman rower - until she is also killed and like the first two murders is left with a possibly Masonic medallion on her.

She is connected with the local rowing club, so there are several scenes of the river with rowers and with Potts having her regular swim in the river.

The murderers are three men, who kill on behalf of one of the other two - while ensuring that the man with a motive to dispose of the victim has a watertight alibi (like Patricia Highsmith's Strangers on a Train (novel)
