Train is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language film written and directed by Mysskin. The film is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under V. Creations. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, alongside Dimple Hayathi, Nassar, Vinay Rai, Bhavana, Sampath Raj, K. S. Ravikumar, Yugi Sethu and Ganesh Venkatraman.

The film was officially announced in November 2023, in addition to the official title. Principal photography commenced the following month. The film has music by Mysskin, and cinematography by Fowzia Fathima.

Development[edit]

In late March 2023, it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi would play as the lead actor in Mysskin's directional. Sethupathi previously played a cameo role in Mysskin's directional film Pisaasu 2.[2] In late May, Mysskin, during a promotional interview for Maaveeran (2023), revealed that there is discussion for a possible collaboration. He further revealed that the script work is in progress and the project will open when it commences.[3] In early October, A. R. Rahman was reported to compose the score for the film.[4] In mid November, reports claimed that Malayalam actor Jayaram was to play the lead antagonist role.[5] On 30 November, Kalaipuli S. Thanu of V. Creations made an public announcement of the project. The look of Sethupathi and the title of the film was revealed the same day.[6] Fowzia Fathima was brought on-board to handle the cinematography, in her comeback to the industry after 21-years.[7] A muhurat puja was held on 1 December in Chennai with the presences of the film's cast and crew.[8]

Principal photography commenced on 1 December 2023.[9]

Music[edit]

The music and background score is composed by Mysskin himself, in his second film as a composer after Devil (2024).[10]
