Bio

I'm (2002-present) a basketball and track and field athlete who lives in Washington state. I have played basketball since I can remember and I run the 400m and 800m races in track. I am extremely into nature and I love to hike, travel, and cliff jump all around the pacific north west. I have been working in the real estate industry for about 2 years now and have found that it could very well be my future profession. Other than work and sports my hobby's include playing video games such as Borderlands and Call of Duty and also watching shows such as American Dad and Family Guy.

I am particularly interested in things such as Pokemon, sports, and nature so I will most likely be editing and contributing to those Wikipedia pages. I am also into the world of video games so I could also see my self becoming interested in editing and adding on to the video games pages as a sort of fun add on to my Wikipedia experience.

Article Evaluation

I have been a big fan of many bands throughout my life such as Imagine dragons, Maroon 5, and countless other bands but I haven't really ever connected to a band the way I did with the band AJR. AJR's pop-electronic style has made a new kind of music for us all to listen to and enjoy. For these reasons I have visited the AJR page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: How did they get to there fame, more information between 2014-2015, AJR's roll in the "Its on us movement".

How AJR got to where they are now

In the AJR page it says that the brothers started making music in 2006 when Jack played the harmonica, Ryan played the piano, and Adam played the bass which is very good to know yet it doesn't really help me understand what they went through to get famous. The Wikipedia article also states that they bands first performances were on the streets "[[1]]" but the article doesn't say a lot about that yet after doing some research I found an interview with the band stating that in many of their times busking they would get rocks thrown at them and people would steal the money they made, I think the Wikipedia page should do a better job at explaining the bands dedication to the passion.

2014-2015

Although AJR's wikapidia page does do a good job in some things, other things still need more work such as how little of information they had on the band between the years of 2014-2015. I do like how they wikipida page tells us that they dropped their second EP in 2014 and I do also like how they tell us that they pushed the date of their first album back "Living room" to march 2015 but out side of that information there really wasn't much information within those years, but after doing some research I found that AJR had actually opened up some of Melanie [Dollhouse] Tour Part 3 which had been the final part of her tour.

AJR's roll in "It's on us movement"

The Wikipedia page has great details about all the bands albums and songs but it really doesn't state anything about the bands political views and beliefs. I believe this is an important piece of information to have in the Wikipedia page because as a matter of fact in 2017 AJR released their song "It's on us" in support of the political issues Barack Obama and Joe Biden had brought to attention to stop sexual assaults. AJR released the song "It's on us" which within the song they say things such as "we'll all fight for you" and "its not your fault you don't feel safe, its not your fault so don't take blame" The band used this song and their words like these to support their bigger cause which I believe is a very important part of the bands story and believe it should be added into their Wikipedia page.
