SubDownloader is a free open source graphical subtitle downloader for the Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating system.
it is a program for automatic download/upload subtitles for videofiles (DIVX,MPEG,AVI,VOB,etc) and DVD's using fast hashing.[2]

Tabs
[edit]Search from Video Files(s) - This is the first tab that appears upon launch where users can select either single video files or folders containing multiple video files. SubDownloader will parse the list of video files and start searching for subtitles matching specific criteria found in the name of the files.
Search by Movie Name - This tab gives the user the ability to search for subtitles using movie names without providing a video file.
Upload subtitles - Allows users to upload and share subtitle files with other users on the website.
