User:Ashton 29/Southern Suburbs (Adelaide)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Southern Suburbs" and "inner-southern suburbs" are general terms used to describe vaguely-defined portions of the metropolitan area of Adelaide, South Australia which are south of the Adelaide city centre. The areas include suburbs in the local government areas of the Cities of Mitcham, Unley, Marion, Onkaparinga and others.

The area south-east of Adelaide is often multiply classified as both "inner south/inner southern" and "east/eastern" depending on the purposes of the person making the claim.

Inner southern suburbs

[edit]

The "inner southern suburbs" is an informal term for a geographical sub-area in the southern suburbs. The leafy inner southern suburbs is home to a large number of park lands parks, including Heywood Park, Fullarton Park Centre, Forestville Reserve and Orphanage Park. Again, totally inadequate - These are all in Unley - absolutely NO mention of anything in Mitcham, not the least of which is Belair National Park, the first and biggest in Metro Adelaide!! . (And what about the other councils??
