I am an assistant professor of Biology at Bard College. I teach classes in microbiology, genetics, and infectious diseases. My research is focused on the microbial communities in the Hudson Valley watershed that specifically produce violacein.
I'm using Wikipedia editing in my courses to teach students the critical nature of science writing and discourse.
