AI Surfacing In Schools
[edit]AI does not only help to improve students lack of computer thinking skills in the classroom, but it also creates many ways for students to be able to connect, and allow them to create and come up with real life situations and solutions. AI improves student engagement within the classroom and helps to keep them more motivated when it comes to completing assignments. The creation in educational games and activities from AI allows for more student engagement for students in learning. AI provides immediate assistance to teachers that aren't available at the given time to help students get real time feedback for grades. This helps to give students more study time, so they are able to know what they are struggling with and know what they need to work on. Instead of waiting on a teachers to give feedback to students on their assignments AI gives the advantages of automatic feedback and grading for assignments. AI not only helps students but also helps teachers, administrative, and other faculty in the schools. AI provides automatic grading which allows teachers to spend more time on teaching the subject rather than spending all of the time on grading them. AI provides a learning adaptive environment that customizes learning and allows students to adapt better. Students seem to have a lot of trouble reading, AI is able to provide students with help to learn to read on their own and teach them in ways that they are able to understand clearly.
AI provides help to teachers to help them create lesson plans, presentations, write emails, and create assessments. The use of AI can enhance the learning experience for students by using a more interactive teaching approach which increases motivation and engagement in the classroom for students. Student performance is also increased because of the immediate feedback and evaluation it gives to students and teachers both. The instant AI feedback provides monitoring of students, attention level, and also helps to determine whether or not they may need additional assistance in the classroom. Teachers can use the AI tools of data to analyze the performance of students to discover their strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention AI also allows for teachers to give more enjoyable classroom work and experiences. AI has become an advantage in education with its complete access with information it gives, and all the tools it allows for educators and students to access and help them in the classroom. We are all guilty of having bias over any certain subject or person because of the ways we perceive them over time. However, AI is a tool in which focus on data without favor or judgment. Final grading is typically up to the teacher, and many individual teachers naturally develop certain feelings towards students, therefore develop empathy that can benefit individual students. AI is a heavily used tool in which provides an opportunity for both students and teachers with its incorporated problem solving and critical thinking skills. This ever- evolving technology provides teachers and students with advantages that save time, allow space for developing relationships within the classroom, and make learning more enjoyable and more personalized.
