Self Introduction
[edit]I lived in Japan for 8 years, originally in Wakayama and then in Osaka.
I have a master's degree from the University of Washington where I studied Japanese history and politics under Kenneth Pyle and a doctorate from Osaka University where my research centered on US-Japan relations, especially the 1954 Daigo Fukuryu Maru incident.
I have a general interest in Japanese art, culture, and history, especially that of the Sengoku period and prewar Japan.

For your excellent defense of rationalism in the AfD discussion for the Ryukyu Province article.[1]. Victory for historical authenticity was had due to your strong and uncompromising effort driving at the truth. Jun Kayama 13:06, 23 May 2013 (UTC) |
