Bio
[edit]Hello my fellow Wikipedia editors and authors. I am currently enrolled at my local community college as a running start student, meaning I'm a high school student taking classes at the college. In my free time I enjoy binge watching shows such as Grey Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, and Breaking Bad when I'm not binge watching my favorite TV shows you can find me out and about with my friends and/or family. A few fun facts about myself are: my favorite color is mint green, I have a golden retriever whom I adore, my favorite seasons are fall/winter, and I use to play soccer.
As someone part of a younger generation I look forward to adding to Wikipedia pages that might not have as much information on them just due to older generations not having much information on the topics. A few topics I could see myself writing about would be hockey due to the fact that I grew up surrounded by hockey players, the state of Montana because that's where I'm originally from, and soccer because I played for about 13 years.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to take a look at my page.
Article Critique
[edit]Growing up in the area I noticed the lack of publicity brought about by the public when it came to woman sports such as basketball therefore I decided I would visit the page Montana Lady Griz basketball page on Wikipedia, this page covers the University of Montana women's basketball team and when skimming through the page I found three aspects of it worth commenting on: citations, structure/completeness, and grammar/voice. Each fact is not cited with an appropriate, reliable source.
Current Roster
[edit]As I looked at the “current” roster, which was posted at the top of the page, I noticed the lack of citations, in fact there was no sources that stated where the roster came from. As well as the roster not having a source it wasn’t up to date, the roster posted was for the 2016-2017 basketball season and after doing my own research I found the 2017-2018 roster which had been posted on the Montana Grizzlies website.
Postseason Results
[edit]When reading over the “Post season results”, I noticed the spelling, “post season” should be one word making it postseason. This article has also been posted without any indication of a citation. This section also lacks a large amount of information spanding only a mere two sentences long. This section is very out of date, it only talks about the women's basketball teams postseason under the coach Robin Selvig but after looking into the basketball teams history I found that there are some post season records under there new head coach Shannon Schweyen, which is not stated in the article.
Season By Season Records
[edit]The last section, “Season by season records”, is definitely the most put together section. It has been cited using two different sources all the sources are a little out of date, the date back to 2012. Since the sources are from multiple years ago it makes me question where the present day season records were pulled from.
