Article review
[edit]I visited the Mariner High School (Everett, Washington) page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its lack of information, its lack of citations, and its outdated info.
Information Lacking
[edit]The page is missing important info as in the current principal or also including the vice principal. They are also lacking the links to the MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) page on Wikipedia. I being a student there also know that there are some clubs there that are not listed. They are also missing info on sports through the latest years, with no mention to any achievements in sports past 2013.
Citations
[edit]The page is also missing citations and states on the page after one of the facts that citations are needed. The main link which lead to the "about our school" page is outdated because the link is broken. Most of the info came from this link while the other two references talked about robotics club and a football player that went to Mariner then later became famous.
Outdated Information
[edit]A lot of the information there is outdated, at the bottom where it refers to the schools within 4A, some of the schools are no longer categorized there and also some new schools are added. The current enrolled also refers to the broken link mentioned above so it may not be accurate or reliable. Some clubs listed are also no longer active and should be removed from the page.
Summary
[edit]Overall, i would say the page is at a great start and is looking pretty good. The only things that are holding it back are its information which is old and may no longer be relevant, as well as new information not being written about. A lot of the facts stated there have no citations to back it up which may also make it more unreliable to the reader. The page contains a lot of information still relevant but also a lot that need to be updated to make the page reliable and trust worthy.
