From August 2010 at the International Seismological Centre (ISC, www.isc.ac.uk) as lead seismologist for the ISC-GEM Global Instrumental Earthquake Catalogue (www.isc.ac.uk/iscgem/) as well as other development projects of the ISC. Before joining the ISC I have completed my PhD at the section 2.1 ‘Earthquake Risk and Early Warning’ of the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Germany (GFZ Potsdam), in cooperation with Uni-Potsdam. The focus of the PhD was the rapid determination of the energy magnitude for large earthquakes. Also spell at INGV-Milan working on the RAIS network and site effects estimation between Nov. 2005-Feb. 2007. GMT/Perl/bash addict, aiming now at providing the best long-term record of the Earth's seismicity to the scientific community.
