Biography

[edit]

Tobu was born on 10 September 1992 in Riga. Before he got into music, he was a freelance web developer and started make music as a hobby in 2010.[3] When he was only a kid, he was always interested in music and musical instruments and he always loved upbeat and syrupy melodies in music as well. He doesn't have any music education, but over time, he started self-studying and he could study very well.

Tobu's music was heavely inspired by Avicii and deadmau5 back at that time, so his early tracks often include sound from electric piano. He uploaded track after track on SoundCloud and YouTube, then he got a lot of support from his fans and was soon discovered by NCS in 2013.

Tobu allows others use most of his tracks in their own videos, etc., so long as the content creators comply with the music use rights, and he provides the download of tracks. So this is one of reasons why Tobu's tracks are so famous.
