Biography

[edit]

I (User:Ezra2018) have been an academic librarian since 2012 and also have experience in special libraries. I teach introductory research classes to first-year students, oversee student success outreach programs, and provide general reference services to our patrons. I am also an avid knitter and bassoonist and love chatting with anyone about the intricate details of both hobbies.

Purpose

[edit]

I joined the Wikipedia editing team as a part of a class through the Library Juice Academy. This class helps fulfill one of the class requirements for the Certificate in Open Education for Librarians. Open education and open educational resources (OER) are part of my role at the UD Library, and I strive to educate myself with classes, workshops, and readings. My main purpose for this work is to support my love of open resources that anyone with internet access can use, edit, and share. Money should not be a barrier to receiving an education.

I am a new Wikipedian, participating in the “Wikipedia for Librarians” course via Library Juice Academy. Please assume good intent with my edits.
