Lorraine campaign is the unofficial name of the operations of the US Third Army in the Lorraine region during World War II. Official U.S. Army campaign names for this period and location are Northern France and Rhineland. The campaign lasted from 1 September to 18 December 1944, overlapping the Ardennes Counteroffensive by two days.
