Dr. Jacobs Harris Jordan (Born January 8, 1983) is Research Chemist at U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service. He received two Bachelors degrees from the University of New Orleans in 2009 and in 2010[1] in the fields of Biological Sciences and Chemical Science, respectively. He received his doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry from Tulane University[2] (2018) where he studied under Prof. Bruce C. Gibb. His thesis The noncovalent interactions behind the direct and inverse Hofmeister effect discusses applications of the reverse Hofmeister effect in supramolecular chemistry, purifications, separations, and crystallography.

In 2012 he married his wife Jeanna Mitchell Jordan. They have three children, Kailyn, Emma, and Aubrey and live in Destrehan, Louisiana.[3]
