ARTICLE CRITIQUE

I visited the country music page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: citations , structure , and completeness. There is with no doubt that the wikipedia page for country music is not too well made, it does have good qualities but not too many compared to the bad ones.

In this article there is a need for additional citations, even though wikipedia has actually addressed this problem it seems to be a neglected fact about the page and still has not been addressed for months, there is even a box at the top of the article that says that there is a need for more and better citations within the article.

The structure in the article is very odd because it does not seem to have any specific direction in what it is trying to tell you, although it eventually gets to the point I am faced with some irrelevant facts and the article actually taps into other genres and it does not exactly do a good job at highlighting country music as its main focus.

Many sections in the article definitely have enough to go with it but some are incomplete and very underdeveloped in comparison to other sections. It seems to me all the effort was put into the final sections and as a result there are  poorly written and underdeveloped sections as well.

In conclusion this article is far from perfect but has a good base to start from, there is a need for more citations, there are structural issues, and underdeveloped sections. It definitely was interesting to read and did have some good factors but overall very poorly executed.
