PEM Wikipedia Project

[edit]Peabody Essex Museum hosted their first Edit-a-thon on Saturday, May 3, 2014. The day was themed around enriching and adding articles pertaining to Native American and Chinese art. 25 images from the museum's permanent collection were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons in preparation for the event. Additional Native American contemporary artists and related subject articles were identified and enriched. Chinese art and culture images were also linked to appropriate subject articles on Wikipedia and the Chinese Wikipedia.
