A time when I learned to like something
[edit](I am required to write about a time when I learned to like something for my English 102 class.)
When I was younger I never really enjoyed any of the music that my parents liked. I remember always wanting to have headphones on while riding in the car with either of them because I knew they'd be playing their music and I didn't like it one bit. The type of music they listen to mostly is Mexican music called cumbia. I looked for some information on cumbia and found that it is music that originated in Colombia before the 1940's. They would be playing their music most of the time they would driving and I would just wish they would turn on the radio for once and listen to some hip hop or rock or anything that wasn't cumbia. Now a days I can't hear a cumbia song on the radio or playing in my parents car without wanting to party and dance. My mom and aunts taught me how to dance it and it is very fun. It's one of my favorite things to do and I can't imagine not liking cumbia at some point in my life.
