Current project: List of breakfast cuisines by country.
- From reading archived discussions, this is never going to make it to mainspace. Just about everyone on Earth would want to argue about it, and I don't want to read any more people saying that pizza and rat-on-a-stick is breakfast food if they just try hard enough.
- However, I do think it will be useful to have a "map" of common breakfast foods by continent, region, and country so that sources can be collected and organized, and there's a decent backbone for editing individual entries of dishes, regions, etc.
- Some of that information is already out there, sometimes it's duplicated across articles and lists, and there are a lot of stubs and holes to fill too.

People need a lot of food to work in such low temperatures, and most of it is preserved and carried around with them. Fresh foods are rarely available due to the isolated nature of the island. The station employs a chef, allowing visitors to eat foods they are familiar with from home. They sometimes have theme nights. All the food comes in in summer, and must be preserved to last the rest of the year. A lot of alcohol was brought on the first expeditions, but more restrictions have been placed since then. |
