Hi All,

I'm an academic working in linguistics, but like many wikipedians I have diverse and varied interests, provided they remain indoors and don't move (this does not include knitting).

I was raised in the Cotswolds, UK and have studied in a number of different cities in the UK and undertaken field research throughout Europe.

Most importantly, I once held a handstand for almost a full minute, possible the highlight of my humble life.

Expect to see my account fixing small errors, adding references and removing tags I don't think are needed any longer. I tend to just edit Wikipedia as I come across interesting articles. So my history like read like a poor mans encyclopedia Britannica, an encyclopedia France if you will.

I look forward to editing Wikipedia with you, fellow wikipedian. If we cross paths, I trust it shall be a warming experience.
