My name is Logan, I am a high school as well as Everett Community College student. I am a lover of the arts especially music. I play guitar, piano, and saxophone (tenor and baritone) and sing in my high school choir as a tenor. In my free time I enjoy playing instruments, listening to all sorts of music, collecting records, drawing, going to concerts, and making puns. I am hopeful that one day I can go into the music industry as a producer and share my love of music with the world.
Article Critique
[edit]I visited the Stevie Nicks page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects worth commenting on: citations, some of the structure, and the age of the articles citations.
Citations:
[edit]I noticed when looking at the article that not only did the reference section have many sources (170 of them) but many of them were still working links. However, I did find some dead links within that section. Also I noticed that some of the facts within the article needed a citation and thus those facts could not be 100% trusted. There were enough references and citations however this is not a huge issue.
Age:
[edit]The last time the article was modified was on the 26th of January 2017. It happens to be very very current. The most current citations and sources I found within the article were from about 2010 through 2016. A lot of the citations I noticed are from this time period. However some of the dead links are from older articles, the oldest of which I saw being from 1999. Once again this was not a huge deal as almost all of the article is up to date and facts are from sources as current as possible.
Structure:
[edit]Within the article I noticed a few things. I noticed that some sections would state a "fact" but there was no citation to follow it and there was also nothing saying a citation was needed. Some sentences were left to stand alone and didn't really coincide with the section of the article although there weren't very many of these, they did exist within the article.
Summary:
[edit]Overall I’d say this a very trustworthy article. Before pulling quotes however I would check the citations and see if a citation is needed or if there is one at all. As for the references while many of the available ones are credible sources, I would check for the date of publication.
