Radio Presenter/DJ/News Presenter

Started out running an English service on a French radio Station Radio Bolougne Littoral (RBL) which broadcast in Northern France in the early 1980's. Then became Promotional Manager for another English show on RBL which broadcast seperately from the English Service which only broadcasted on a Monday Evening for an hour then broadcast most of Monday evenings, and was very popular throughout South East Kent, England. On Wednesday evenings a seperate English show was broadcast live from RBL's Studios In Bolougne, France. This was the very popular "Jingle Joey show" in which music from Local bands/groups from SE Kent was played. A Local TOP 10 for the Folkestone and Hythe area in Kent was devised by Garrod.

In 1983 he went to work on the Voice of Peace in Israel as a DJ/Radio Presenter for a year, then came back to England in late 1984 and did some Promotional work Radio presenting for stations in the Netherlands which were recorded in a home made studio where he was living in Folkestone, England. In 1996 worked for a Community RSL station in Folkestone in their News department at Shepway Sound. And again the following year, and their sister station White Cliffs Sound in Dover, England.

In 1997 he wrote several articles in a Newstand Magazine called UFO Magazine.

Now retired living a quite life in Folkestone, with an offer of doing a news programme on the Community Station Radio Folkestone.
