This page serves as a historical archive of my userpage designs. I hope you enjoy and learn from it. The design of this page originally contained pins like it was a board with notes and was taken from Jaranda.

I initially started out with a bare bones structure. Just some headers and text to which slowly templates and message boxes got added. But nothing shocking really happened for a long time.

After some intial dabbling [1], I did my first major redesign which used columns and had a nice blue color. (see design 1)

After an initial failed attempt to change the color of my userpage [2], I managed to change the color to yellow later that same day[3]. Who knew capital letters where that important? This design remained with just minor modifications for over a year during which time it got pretty bulky (see design 1 beta).

My current design is a combination of a header by Wackymacs and layout by Tijuana Brass. It also includes icons and collapseble menus as used by the Italian user Hills. The section edit links didn't work until I perused the code of Nightstallion's userpage who also gave me the idea to add interwiki links to my navigational bar. The aim of this design was to cut a lot of the bloating and improve navigation and usefulness. The hardest part was to get the awards properly formatted. Long lines of text often made the side bar overlap with other items.

After an extended absence I finished redesigning my userpage sligtly to make it easier to edit. The template I used came from Into The Fray. See this link for the initial version of the design.
Future?
So now I've got a great-looking userpage. But userpage design is a fast-moving world. I wonder what my next change will be... Anyway, now that my main user page is to my liking, I'm moving to formatting my subpages. Any ideas on design improvements are welcome at my talk page.
