Bob the Vid Tech is a television character from Maryland Public Television, played by actor Bob Heck. The "Vid Tech" concept was created in 1993. Both educational interstitial material and half hour specials featuring Bob the Vid Tech were broadcast in between PBS children's programming on MPT from 1993 to 2010. Bob Heck plays the parts of Bob, his brother Biff, his "Momma Vid Tech" and "Pop Quiz". He is also the voice of "Sid the Vid Fish".
