New article name is Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School, Saltpond, Ghana
Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School was established in Setpember 1960 by Ghana's First President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The vision of the President was to set up a girls secondary school to thank the women of Saltpond for the role they played in the independence struggle and unltimately to educate girls of the area up to the tertiary level. On 30 September 1960, the gates of the school was opened to 51 girls to commence a 5-year secondary education in various subjects.
