Our Families Count is a public education campaign focused on increasing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) participation in the 2010 U.S. Census. The organization is a collaborative effort of over 100 non-profit leaders and community organizers across the LGBT and ally spectrum.[1]

The main goal of Our Families Count is to increase visibility for the LGBT community in the 2010 Census, mainly through ensuring that LGBT Americans know how to fill out their Census forms.[2] The campaign is the largest initiative relating LGBT issues and the U.S. Census, a reflection of increased cooperation between the LGBT community and the Census Bureau.[3]

While LGBT community leaders and groups advocate on many public policy issues, Our Families Count takes no position on specific issues or questions.
