Sajjad Naumani (Urdu: سجاد نعمانئ) is an Indian, Islamic scholar, and author of many books in various languages. He was one of the most important theorists of the revivalist movement.
Family Background
[edit]He is a descendant of a distinguished family of Ulama and scholars with ancestral roots from Turkey. His father – Maulana Manzoor Nomani was a renowned Islamic scholar, theologian, journalist, writer,and social activist. He conveyed important and well-balanced Islamic views to masses through Al-Furqan – an Urdu monthly launched in 1933 – for more than five decades. This magazine is still in circulation.
