My IP has been banned for a year and a half. Not because of anything I did, but because some complete idiot of an administrator banned a block of 9000 IPs that I was part of, as he/she/it claimed there was an anonymous proxy in there someplace. Anonymous proxies are not allowed. News flash dickheads, everyone using network address translation is effectively an anonymous proxy.

On the plus side, the ban ended a year and a half early. Did one of my repeated attempts, all of which were never acknowledged, to get through to those clowns finally make it? Or did someone go through old bans and correct a gaping head wound of a mistake? Who knows, who cares.

The free encyclopedia, that anyone can edit ... indeed.

Once able to edit my own talk page again, I had planned to write a long diatribe of my disdain for this project, which has clearly jumped the shark, and the many events that lead to it. But, again who cares.

So, in conclusion, FUCK WIKIPEDIA. I would rather pay Encyclopedia Britannica than to have anything further to do with this bias, data shit hole.

Mediawiki is a cool product though. Too bad I can't just donate to that.
