Hi
[edit]I'm a bit confused, you seem to be easily answering questions regarding WP policy on the Teahouse without having any other contribs. Are you accidentally not signed in to your account? --Hillelfrei• talk • 17:13, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Hillelfrei, I can understand why you might think so :-), but no. The fact is, I've been a regular contributor here for over 15 years, using various workplace, library and home PCs, but have deliberately never created an account, for reasons peculiar to my psyche. I used to have a fixed home IP, but some years ago my then-ISP was taken over by Sky, who provide only dynamic IPs. Since then, in order to avoid confusion in discussion threads, I append all my edits (barring those to articles, of course) with a shout-back to that former home IP by using the tag (and Prince allusion) {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.121.161.127 (talk) 19:01, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- Wow, a 15-year contributor who deliberately never created an account. Ok, in that case, you deserve this...
- Welcome! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
- You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

- Just kidding LOL --Hillelfrei• talk • 19:24, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
