Kamar Aiken and others[edit]

Thank you for updating Kamar Aiken's uniform number. If you are willing, there is a lot of other information that is out of date on players pages. For instance, I noticed that on Aiken's page - External links - it had his New England Patriot's bio. That was 4-5 years ago. It was 404 and the UCF bio is also 404. I tagged the UCF bio as {{dl|date= April 2017}} and changed the other to his Colt's bio.

Also, per wp:verifiability (some people like to look up more info or vet existing info), please wp:cite a wp:reliable source. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 19:24, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unlike JIm1138 above, I'm not thanking you for making up the number you put in Aiken's biography. Doing that is vandalism, pure and simple. The teams assign these numbers, not you, and as best the Colts seem to have indicated, they have not yet assigned a number to this player. If you have a better source than the Colt's official roster page, please cite it. Tarl N. (discuss) 20:30, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Allen Crabbe[edit]

There has been no jersey announcement wit the Nets - stop making assumptions. By the way, number 23 is retired by the Nets. Rikster2 (talk) 01:21, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NBA jersey numbers[edit]

Where are you getting your information? For example, you changed Nemanja Bjelica from #88 to #8 even though the TWolves' roster clearly shows #88. In some cases, like Allen Crabbe, I know you don't have confirmation. Please stop changing these without a source. A best practice is to cut and paste the url of your source as your edit summary. Rikster2 (talk) 01:52, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth (not knowing because the editor never responds in talk), my guess is this person just gets off on making up numbers. A couple of months ago this was happening with NFL articles. The number changes weren't merely uncited, they were actively wrong. It's intentional vandalism, and the IP was blocked for doing that. Tarl N. (discuss) 14:53, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

August 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm IronGargoyle. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Louis Murphy, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. IronGargoyle (talk) 00:54, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Louis Murphy. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. IronGargoyle (talk) 00:56, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Steven Terrell[edit]

Not that you will read this but I will say it anyway, he cannot have the number 25. After he was released in preseason roster cutdowns, Kenneth Acker took 25. Per NFL rules, during the regular season, 2 players cannot have the same number. I'm aware the Chiefs website lists his number as 25, but this is the rare exception where the online roster is incorrect. Please do not add it back.--Rockchalk717 01:08, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
