Ney Vandalism[edit]

Hello, You have been warned repeatedly not to continue to push Pan-Arabist ideology on the page. You have been given sources that show the Persian root of the word and Wiktionary has it's own citations for that as well.

The blog you sourced is not a verifiable or reliable source of information, as it contradicts itself and provides no citations. We have ample etymological evidence of the Persian root of the word, and it's corroborated in multiple sources on the page. I have seen no evidence for an Arabic root or origin.

I've brought your vandalism to the attention of others including the admins. I suggest you either begin explaining your reasonings or desist.

You should also address the talk page as well. 142.189.149.94 (talk) 21:06, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

July 2024[edit]

Information icon Hi 37.220.113.172! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Ney several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Ney, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 22:59, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
