Edits to Honourable Artillery Compay
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.
License tagging for Image:PWRRTiger.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:PWRRTiger.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:11, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Violation of the Three Revert Rule
[edit]You have now reverted four different times all or a portion of this sentence from the article Trent Affair:
“Williams, on December 20 began training one company of 75 men from each battalion of the Sedentary Militia, about 38,000 men in total.”
Please review WP:AN/3RR for the problems you are creating. I have offered you an alternative in which you can present in the article your alternative numbers (I even composed it for you), but you apparently are unwilling to accept this. I will be making further comments on the discussion page of the article in order to avoid a REVERT WAR. Tom (North Shoreman) 01:00, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Your edit to Queen's Regiment

Numbers of Battleships completed by different dates
[edit]You made an edit to Prince Consort class battleship. The list of ships you used to make a new table is incomplete, and at least some of the dates you quote are launch dates not completion dates.
- DK Brown, Warrior to Dreadnought: Warship Development 1860-1905, footnotes name the ships in order of completion. French: 1859: Gloire, 1860: Normandie, 1861: Invincible, Couronne, Magenta, Solferino, 1863: Provence, Savoie, Heroine, 1864: Flandre, Valeuruse, Magnanime, Surveillante, 1865: Gauloise, Guyenne and Revanche. British: 1860: Warrior, 1861: Black Prince, Defence, Resistance, 1863: Valiant, Achilles, Minotaur, 1864: Royal Alfred, Zealous, Lord Clyde, Royal Sovereign, Research, Enterprize, 1865: Favourite, Scorpion, Wivern, Lord Warden and Agincourt. Brown excludes Turret Ships and Armoured Corvettes (which have been reinstated) and Coastal Ironclads (which remain excluded)
In addition it is difficult to justify counting Scorpion and Wivern as sea-going ships; published Channel Fleet reports make it clear that they were not sea-going.--Toddy1 (talk) 04:19, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:LPEI synthesis.png
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:LPEI synthesis.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. fetchcomms☛ 23:43, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Bravo Two Zero. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Barret (talk) 16:02, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain
[edit]To quote Barret, "Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources," which in this case you did to Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. Ignoring your poor spelling, Chamberlain's (and the Twentieth Maine's) participation in the Battle of Fredericksburg is well-documented, and simply saying they weren't there in the face of decades of scholarship to the contrary is hardly suitable. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your edits to Siege of Taganrog
[edit]Hi there. I want to offer my apologies for my unintended revert of the bulk of your edits to Siege of Taganrog. My only concern was the description of HMS Jasper incident, which didn't reflect what the majority of sources say about (See WP:WEIGHT). All OK for the rest, I agree that the article is in a better shape now. Best regards.--Darius (talk) 23:47, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
