Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Manual of Style
You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but I highly recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (93.97.194.200) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome!

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:137.219.180.42. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - DVdm (talk) 16:00, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the article Claude Lévi-Strauss has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you. Spam wasn't removed in this edit. You changed a heading. This makes things confusing for editors checking the edit history freshacconci talktalk 14:15, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Likewise, this was a POV edit, not spam. freshacconci talktalk 14:17, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Apologies; I intended to remove the other nonsense paragraph that was inserted right after your edit. I had checked your edit previously and it did indeed line up with the material in the book that was already cited - I'm not sure how your addition was caught up in my reversion. Use of the term "racialist"
[edit]Please do add terms such as "racialist" to articles without extreme care and attention to sources, even for persons who are not living. Bear in mind in British English, "racialist" can mean the same as "racist" to older generations. CT Cooper · talk 15:50, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Please sign your talk page comments
[edit]You've received numerous notices from a bot reminding you that you are required to sign your talk page comments by appending four tildes – like this: ~~~~ – to the end of your comment, so that he system will add your IP address. Please make a habit of doing this.
I also note from looking at this talk page that you don't seem to be in the habit of responding to comments made here. Please be aware that in a collaborative and collegial project such as Wikipedia, it is considered very important for editors to talk to each other, and respond to the comments and concerns of other editors, so please also make an effort to reply when editors leave you a comment. In case you're not aware, contributors. have been blocked from editing for not being responsive to the the concerns expressed by other editors. Beyond My Ken (talk) 18:37, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Your behavior
[edit]I am concerned that your lack of response to comments made here by myself and other editors and your flouting of the common courtesy of signing your talk page comments indicates that you are not willing to edit in a collaborative and colleagial manner. Please respond here, so that I am not forced to bring administrators into this. Beyond My Ken (talk) 18:43, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
