Note about Armenia–Azerbaijan articles
[edit]Hi, 98.170.164.88. Thank you for your edits. However, please be aware of the community consensus regarding Armenia and Azerbaijan:
Politics, ethnic relations, and conflicts involving Armenia, Azerbaijan, or both—broadly construed and explicitly including the Armenian genocide—are placed under an extended confirmed restriction.
An extended confirmed restriction applies to all edits and pages related to the topic area, broadly construed
. Most constructive talkpage participation is excepted, however participation in requested moves is not. For this reason, I have struck your comments at Talk:2023 Nagorno-Karabakh clashes. You may still participate on that page outside of the requested move.
More generally, please know:
You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- User:Tamzin, sorry, I had no idea. I'll try to stay away from Armenia and Azerbaijan articles from now on. 98.170.164.88 (talk) 16:34, 20 September 2023 (UTC)

Wikiproject Lithuania
[edit] Thank you for contributing to Lithuania related articles!
I just noticed your edits to Lithuania-related articles and thought you would like to join the Lithuania WikiProject, an initiative to improve coverage of Lithuania-related topics on Wikipedia. You can read the top 10 tips for Lithuanian editors, ask a question, get updates on new articles, and figure out the best way you can help. To stay informed you might want to add the WikiProject page to your watchlist and sign up. Feel free to join anytime! |
Thought you might be interested because I've seen you around a lot of articles related to this Wikiproject. In fact I was a former member of Wikiproject Lithuania who used to do some copyediting for Wikiproject Lithuania until I decided that I prefer editing amusement park articles and doing Recent Changes Patrol/New Pages Patrol. #prodraxis connect 23:12, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Prodraxis: Thanks, I do have some interest in Eastern Europe, so I'll check it out. 98.170.164.88 (talk) 10:01, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
