License tagging for Image:LOTUSAIR.GIF

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LOTUSAIR.GIF. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 04:08, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Michaelbusch (talk) 04:31, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How to write new articles

[edit]
Dear Aaks80, hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'd like to take this opportunity to provide information related to creating articles. First, make sure that an article does not already exist on the subject. Please review the following relevant policies and guidelines. Remember, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, so articles must not contain original research, should cite to reliable sources which verify their content, must be written from a neutral point of view, and can not contain unsourced, negative content about living people, and finally, must not be copied from any other source.

In addition, articles need to assert the notability of the subject. Please see our subject-specific guidelines for people, bands and musicians, companies and organizations and web content. Also be aware that if you are closely associated with the subject, (or are writing about yourself) the conflict of interest guideline strongly recommends against you creating or editing the article.

If you still think your article is appropriate, see Help:Starting a new page. You might also look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article for guidance, and please consider taking a tour through the Wikipedia:Tutorial so that you know how to properly format the article before creation. If you would prefer to get input prior to creating the article, to avoid the possibility that it may be deleted, feel free to post your suggestions at the articles for creation page. Sincerely, ArielGold 04:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Al Fawares Holding, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Al Fawares Holding is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Al Fawares Holding, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LOTUSAIR.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LOTUSAIR.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Alfawareslogo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alfawareslogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
