Hello, I'm Nkon21. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Luna Park Sydney, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 00:49, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Turramurra has been reverted.
Your edit here to Turramurra was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFgae6jPCtY) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 11:59, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed

[edit]

I notice that you added some claims to Turramurra, but did not provide any source to show where that information came from. Those sources are vital so that readers know where to look for verification, or to investigate further. For now, I have flagged those statements with "Citation needed". If it is not fixed, those claims may need to be removed until a reliable source can be found. Gronk Oz (talk) 06:44, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, the sources come from the book Ku-ring-Gai Early History and Development. As there is no digitised document of this book, I went to the Turramurra library and copied parts of the book word for word. If you need more information on this, please feel free to contact either Turramurra or the other libraries owned by Ku-ring-Gai Council which should have copies of the book in Gordon, Lindfield, or St Ives. It doesn't matter if there isn't a digital/online version, you should still add citations using the book's title, ISBN, author(s), etc. Also, if you copied a book's wording word for word into Wikipedia, that might be a copyright violation and it should be removed immediately. @Gronk Oz. Thanks for the response, @AheadMatthewawsome. And thanks for doing that homework on the topic. @Fork99 is quite right - you can just add a citation to that book and leave the URL bit blank. Then a reader who wants to follow up on it knows where to go!--Gronk Oz (talk) 04:47, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
