The page File:Kyle-Kuzma-Julius-Randle.jpg has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appeared to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion ReviewBagumba (talk) 03:17, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution!

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Universal Pictures films into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Bennv3771 (talk) 03:43, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you recently moved a bunch of pages from draftspace to the mainspace, all still without any attribution to the original Wikipedia article from which the contents were copied from (i.e. List of Universal Pictures films). Please note that copying within Wikipedia without giving proper attribution is a copyright violation and editors who repeatedly violate the copyright policy may be blocked from editing. Please provide attribution (example) for all the past pages that you copied material from. Bennv3771 (talk) 04:52, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of Universal Pictures films (1990–1999), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Stand alone list articles

[edit]

Hi Ajax Coleman, Good day. Pls note that stand alone list articles do need independent, reliable sources such as from the newspapers or books to supported the content claimed for verification just like any other article - pls see WP:STAND. "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution." Pls see WP:PROVEIT. Group sources are permitted in stand alone list article and sources can be in any languages. Pls do the needful and add the sources and submit for review. Thank you. Please stop disruptively moving pages that are not ready for main space back into the article namespace. I and other patrollers have moved them to the draft namespace for a reason, and you don't appear to see the issues with the drafts, instead simple moving them back out of process. Mass pages moves

[edit]

Please stop making mass moves of pages without discussions. You did it a few days ago and made a mess of several film list articles, and now you're doing it with music articles. In both cases, editors had to take a lot of time to revert all your changes. Mass page moves are very disruptive and can rub editors the wrong way. Please discuss such mass moves on an appropriate talk page before you make the moves. Aoi (青い) (talk) 08:05, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
