rv ref wiki environmentalism
I don't see why you revert the reference, for the moment there are already a mess with too much references, without classification and the category also. this one is concerns a long article well documented about movments (I don't know the interest of the others), chronology etc..., (ref perhaps temporary till tree of categories or something like that) - it doesn't add mess and helps till the "total" arrangment of the environmental matter. --Ayanoa 12:20, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- (I assume you mean the removal of "criticism of environmentalism".) What I did was remove a phase that looked like it was totally out of place. It was at the top of a bulleted list and looked like another reference entry. It also was not capitalised. The reference section does not need subheadings at this point since there are only three entries. The external links section needs to be changed to make it easier to use. Overall the page is a mess. I will rewrite it after my exams. Alan Liefting 20:43, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Can I suggest that if you are to make a change of the type you are suggesting could you do the complete change all at once rather than in a piecemeal manner. Alan Liefting 20:46, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
River naming
Hi, Alan. Thanks for the information. I chose parentheses because it seemed to be the most common form of disambiguation (I generally only work on U.S. rivers) and it helps to avoid confusion with cities. Anyway, if I come across any more New Zealand, British or Australian rivers, I'll try to remember the favored disambiguation. -- Kjkolb 01:03, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

RfA
Hi Alan, yeah, sure. Your nom is at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Alan Liefting. To complete the nomination, follow the instructions listed at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/nominate#What to do if you are nominated by someone else:. Good luck! :) Grutness...wha? 02:40, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again... looks like your RfA's a bit of an uphill struggle - you might want to tryto expand some of your answers to those questions (some more questions have been added by others, too). Grutness...wha? 00:55, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Citing to the Bible
As a recent participant in the TfD dicussion on whether {{Bibleverse}} and {{Bibleref}} should be deleted, I wanted to make sure you were aware of the new discussion at Wikipedia:Citing sources/Bible. The goal of these discussion is to resolve the concerns raised re GFDL, use of an external cite, etc. Additionally, this page should serve as a location for recording research about the different websites that provide online Bible information. Please edit the summary and join the discussion - thx Trödel 15:16, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Are you okay?
I notice that you haven't edited since accepting your RfA, and it's unusual for you to go this long without an edit. If you're just busy in real life, or your computer crashed, please let us know so we don't worry about you.-gadfium 22:26, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the concern. I did not realise that my activity on Wikipedia was followed closely! I was out of town for a while after submitting my RfA and have been doing a little bit of work on another project. Alan Liefting 10:19, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Good to see you're alive and well. I wondered what was going on, too. Sorry about the RfA. Grutness...wha? 08:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Puriri page
Alan I really don't understand why you have removed all my hard work from the puriri page and reverted it to a stub!!! Yes it is identical to the geocities page because I am planning to gradually move all my information from those pages (which are mine and have been for years) into wikipedia because I don't bother to keep the geocities pages updated. I have no idea how to roll back to the previous version and quite frankly if this is going to happen all the time then I'll never bother to contribute again. 222.153.251.176 07:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- User:MPF had reverted the page because it appeared to be a copyright violation of your work at www.geocities.com/rainforest/7109/puriri.htm. MPF did not realise that the source was also you work. I had simply removed the image which was not a puriri tree. Alan Liefting 09:57, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- I see that you have already reverted it to an earlier version. Note that there is a standard layout for pages on Wikipedia. Alan Liefting 10:00, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Keith Locke PoV edit war
Hey there, there is currently a edit war brewing at Keith Locke and I wonder if you fancied chipping in. I am worried that I haven't followed the best process or introduced the best arguments and all. cheers - Drstuey 08:17, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Metropark
I had never even heard the term "regional park" until I searched for Metropark (intending to find the train station) and getting automatically redirected there. If you want to create a disambig page and remove the redirect then go ahead. Wl219 08:14, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Votes
Hello! I noticed that you are a member of WikiProject Plants. Therefore you may be interested in supporting the nomination of Cactus to the Article Improvement Drive. There are woefully few plant articles among the featured articles. Furthermore, Cactus definitely deserves a better article. this is our chance! If you agree, you can suppost the nomination at the AID page. --Chino 05:14, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject Environment
Hi Alan, I am in the process of attempting to attract a wider range of members to wikiproject environment. I see that everyone seems to be creating sub wikiprojects in their personal areas of interest in environmental related subjects. Hopefully we can attract a base of participants and create more discussion on interelated topics. --Alex 12:14, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Moving Townships
Hey there, you are taking all the "Townships" out of the names of my articles...they need to be there to distinguish them from the towns of the same name...unless there is another convention to distinguish them? Cli0019 07:46, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Townships
Hey there,, thanks for the reply...
The townships all have similar names as towns, so could get a little confusing...i propose that they be left since there is only eleven of them...
Thanks! Cli0019 08:48, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Ecocide
I'm relying on the OED for my information; I don't actually have any articles on ecocide lying around. But I'll see what I can dig up this weekend in academic journals.Christopher Powell 14:35, 4 May 2007 (UTC) Bold text
